HOW TO CONFIGURE DHCP, DNS AND HTTP SERVER IN A NETWORK


hello friends!

In my last post CCNA: CONFIGURATION WITH HTTP SERVER AND DNS SERVER I mentioned the steps to configure a HTTP server and a DNS server. In today’s post I will combine all the servers which we have studied up to now. So if you are new here I will suggest you to read my previous posts as well so that you understand better.

so let’s start…..

# open Cisco Packet Tracer Student

# now take 3 servers,1 switch and 1 computer

3 servers, 1 switch and 1 pc

# connect servers and the pc to the switch using automatically chosen connection type

connecting 1 server, 1 switch and 1 pc

# now click on the server which you want to make DHCP server

# click on services > DHCP > on

# now click on desktop >IP Configuration

# give it a ip address let’s say 1.0.0.1 and press, the subnet mask will be added automatically

# also give it a DNS address let’s say 1.0.0.2

# now click on the server which you want to make DNS server

# click on services > DNS

# now add a name and the ip address of the HTTP server let’s say thevtech and 1.0.0.3 respectively

# now click on desktop > IP Configuration

# now select DHCP and all the entries will be filled automatically

# now click on the server which you want to make HTTP server

# click on services > HTTP > on

# click on desktop > IP Configuration

# now select DHCP and all the entries will be filled automatically

# now click on computer

# click on desktop > IP Configuration

# select DHCP and all the entries will be filled automatically

THAT’S IT

Our network is ready. For testing follow the given steps…..

# click on computer

# click on browser

testing connection

# in the address bar type thevtech. A web page will appear

This is how we can configure HTTP, DNS and DHCP server together.
