Hello friends! In my last post HOW TO SEE SAVED PASSWORD OF A BROWSER, I mentioned the steps on how we can see our saved password in browsers like CHROME and FIREFOX. In my today’s post, I will tell you a way to which you will be able to password protect your browser and no one will be able to use it except those who knew it. So let’s get started.
FOR CHROME BROWSER
# click on the right top most corner of your browser > more tools > extensions
# click on get more extensions
# in the search bar type passbrow. Add it to your browser
# fill the all required fields it asks for. Type the password which you want to give to your browser and save it
Now from next time whenever you will open CHROME browser, it will ask you for a password and nobody will be able to access it without putting the right password in it.
FOR FIRE-FOX BROWSER
# click on the right top most corner of your browser > add-ons
# in the search tab type master password +.
# install it in you browser
# after installing it will ask you to restart the browser. Click on Restart Now
# open it once again
# click on the right top most corner of your browser > customise
# from there drag it and add it to your customise firefox option
# exit customise
# click on the right top most corner of your browser > master password+
# click on the small arrow. Click on options > startup
# select the option Ask for password on startup > ok
now next time when you will open it, it will ask you for a password and the first password that you will enter will become master password for your browser and without it, no will be able to access your browser.
So this is how you can protect your browser by giving it a master password at the time of startup and can increase your privacy as well as protection level. If you have any doubt, suggestion or advice regarding this post please mention it in your comments.
